Vertice Technologies (DBA: AltaReturn) was founded in 2008 by Reinaldo Acosta and Custodio Toledo to deliver a different approach to solutions and services for the private capital and family office markets. The firm’s two-fold mission is to 1) build the single best technology available for the private capital and family office markets and 2) grow, without exception, a client-centric organization where exceptional support and guidance is standard.
Today, AltaReturn powers the back office and reporting needs of some of the most successful private equity, venture capital, real estate, TPA, fund-of-funds and family offices in the world. The firm offers a suite of private capital technology solutions covering fund and management company accounting, CRM, investor portals, portfolio monitoring and business intelligence. These solutions are developed on the Microsoft foundation and available as an integrated suite or as independently subscribed applications.

Erik DiGiacomo is the Chief Operating Officer of Allvue Systems. Erik has a long history of leading transformation in the complex and highly regulated world of financial services. He has held leadership roles in consulting firms as well as premier investment banks and during his tenures, Erik has led companies, business units, operations functions and large scale projects brought on by sweeping industry reform and mergers. More recently, Erik was the President of ALaS Consulting LLC which was acquired by Virtusa where he led the Financial Services Consulting (FSC) division until 2014 when he joined Broadridge Financial Solutions to lead the Professional Services team. Erik is a graduate of Cornell University where he earned a degree in economics.
Ryan serves as Allvue’s Chief Revenue Officer where he oversees all go-to-market and client facing activities. His responsibilities include sales, marketing, client relationships and strategic initiatives that will drive worldwide growth across all business segments. Ryan brings over 30 years of experience in running software businesses and sales leadership. Prior to Allvue, Ryan spent 7.5 years in London at Finastra and Misys where he most recently was EVP of International, responsible for all go-to-market teams and client facing activities for Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific territories, which represented $1B in revenues and over 3,000 clients. Additionally, Ryan was the Misys Global Head of Sales prior to the merger of Misys and D+H. Ryan also held several leadership roles in Europe and US for SunGard and GLTrade. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. After graduation, Ryan also served as a Captain in the US Army Reserves for 11 years where he held various leadership positions.
Brandon brings over 15 years of enterprise application development to his role as Chief Information Officer of Allvue and Chief Technology Officer of Black Mountain. He was the original employee when Black Mountain was founded in 2007 and has architected the Everest solution since inception. Brandon started and ran the Professional Services group, and oversees all product development and internal engineering for the firm. His prior experience includes architecting a loan origination system and developing an automated underwriting engine for Accredited Home Lenders, a leading sub-prime mortgage lender at the time. He has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Joe is the Chief Human Resources Officer of Allvue. Joe has led the Human Resources function in several global organizations most recently as CHRO of Finastra a leading global Fin Tech company. Joe had a lengthy career with Unilever, a global leader in consumer products, with leadership roles in Canada, US and Europe. Joe has led several change transformation projects along with significant experience with mergers and acquisitions. Joe has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia along with post graduate Human Resources programs at the University of Michigan and USC Marshall School of Business.
Brian Seldess leads financial operations. Brian has an extensive background in financial strategy, global financial planning and analysis. He brings expertise in strategy delivery and a focus on profitable growth opportunities. He most recently worked as the Chief Financial Officer of the Amynta Group. Prior to the Amynta Group, Brian worked at Solera where he was CFO & Regional Managing Director of its Audatex business and the leader of Solera’s global financial planning and analysis function. Prior to Solera, Brian was the Chief Financial and Operating Officer of SunGard Insurance. Brian joined SunGard after many years at Marsh & McLennan Companies where he held various executive positions. Prior to Marsh, he served for ten years as VP Business Development, Analysis and Planning with American Express. Brian is a CPA. He holds a BS in Business Administration from the UofA and an MBA.
Custodio co-founded AltaReturn in 2008 and leads its technology and product development teams. Custodio has 25 years of professional experience, including 21 years focused on the Alternative space. Prior to founding AltaReturn, Custodio was the CTO for Sungard’s Investran Business Unit while also the CTO of Sungard’s VPM Business Unit. Custodio has a degree as a Mechatronic Engineer, Polytechnic School, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
