Vertice Technologies (DBA: AltaReturn) was founded in 2008 by Reinaldo Acosta and Custodio Toledo to deliver a different approach to solutions and services for the private capital and family office markets. The firm’s two-fold mission is to 1) build the single best technology available for the private capital and family office markets and 2) grow, without exception, a client-centric organization where exceptional support and guidance is standard.
Today, AltaReturn powers the back office and reporting needs of some of the most successful private equity, venture capital, real estate, TPA, fund-of-funds and family offices in the world. The firm offers a suite of private capital technology solutions covering fund and management company accounting, CRM, investor portals, portfolio monitoring and business intelligence. These solutions are developed on the Microsoft foundation and available as an integrated suite or as independently subscribed applications.

Ryan serves as Allvue’s Chief Revenue Officer where he oversees all go-to-market and client facing activities. His responsibilities include sales, marketing, client relationships and strategic initiatives that will drive worldwide growth across all business segments. Ryan brings over 30 years of experience in running software businesses and sales leadership. Prior to Allvue, Ryan spent 7.5 years in London at Finastra and Misys where he most recently was EVP of International, responsible for all go-to-market teams and client facing activities for Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific territories, which represented $1B in revenues and over 3,000 clients. Additionally, Ryan was the Misys Global Head of Sales prior to the merger of Misys and D+H. Ryan also held several leadership roles in Europe and US for SunGard and GLTrade. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. After graduation, Ryan also served as a Captain in the US Army Reserves for 11 years where he held various leadership positions.
Kevin is the Chief Operating Officer of Allvue and President of Black Mountain. He co-founded Black Mountain in 2007 and served as co-CEO of the firm. Prior to that, Kevin was the CTO and co-founder of FCS, the developer of the Wall Street Office platform. Under his leadership, Wall Street Office evolved to become the industry standard for loan portfolio management and accounting. Kevin leveraged that experience to help create Black Mountain from the ground up, focusing on extendable and scalable technology. Kevin earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and has 26 years of experience in the syndicated loan market.
Custodio co-founded AltaReturn in 2008 and leads its technology and product development teams. Custodio has 25 years of professional experience, including 21 years focused on the Alternative space. Prior to founding AltaReturn, Custodio was the CTO for Sungard’s Investran Business Unit while also the CTO of Sungard’s VPM Business Unit. Custodio has a degree as a Mechatronic Engineer, Polytechnic School, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Brandon brings over 15 years of enterprise application development to his role as Chief Information Officer of Allvue and Chief Technology Officer of Black Mountain. He was the original employee when Black Mountain was founded in 2007 and has architected the Everest solution since inception. Brandon started and ran the Professional Services group, and oversees all product development and internal engineering for the firm. His prior experience includes architecting a loan origination system and developing an automated underwriting engine for Accredited Home Lenders, a leading sub-prime mortgage lender at the time. He has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Mike oversees all financial reporting for the firm and closely works with the senior management team to ensure the company is meeting its financial, operational and strategic objectives. He most recently worked as an investment banker in Macquarie Capital’s Financial Institutions Group, specializing in the financial technology sector. He started his career as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers working on banking and capital markets clients focusing on internal controls, third party assurance reports, as well as public and private company financial audits. Mike earned his Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He completed his undergraduate studies at Villanova University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Cindy has been working in the financial and technology industry for the last 15 years. She joined Black Mountain in 2009 where she most recently led the product management team. During her tenure at Black Mountain, Cindy also led implementations and relationships for many clients, such as GE, Carlyle and GSO/Blackstone. Prior to joining Black Mountain, Cindy was involved in credit risk management and operations at The Carlyle Group, and led the implementation of Everest from the client side. She also has extensive risk management software implementation and consulting experience from her time at ERisk and Sungard. Cindy has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Certificate in Finance from Princeton University.
